Terms of Service
Last updated: October 22, 2026
These terms cover your use of the wakeru service on this server, operated by Flávio Gallon. wakeru is open-source software; the operator runs this copy of it.
The service
wakeru helps groups record shared trip expenses, see who owes whom and keep track of payments between them. It works offline and syncs through this server.
Your account
You sign in with Google. Keep access to your Google account secure; anything done from your signed-in devices counts as done by you.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to break the law, harass people, store content you have no right to share, or attack, overload or try to get around the security of the server.
What you enter
You're responsible for the accuracy of the expenses and payments you record. wakeru is a record-keeping tool: it doesn't move money, isn't a payment service and doesn't give financial advice. Exchange rates are reference rates (European Central Bank) and are for information only; the amount your card or bank actually charged may differ.
Free features and paid extras
Creating trips, inviting people, recording expenses in any currency, every way of splitting, balances, settling up, history, manual exchange rates and exports are free. Two optional purchases add extras: insights and charts, budget projection and automatic exchange rates.
- Trip pass: a one-time payment that unlocks the extras for one trip and everyone in it, for 30 days: from the trip's start date if that's within the last 30 days or in the future, otherwise from the day you buy it. If the trip gets expenses dated more than 3 days after those 30 days, the extras pause for that trip until a new pass covers a new period. Nothing you recorded is ever locked.
- Yearly: a subscription that unlocks the extras in every trip you're a member of, for everyone in it. It renews every year until you cancel. Cancel any time in the app (Account) or from your receipt; it keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.
The app and the checkout show prices in your local currency, taxes included. Prices may change for future purchases; a new renewal price is announced by email before it applies.
Payments
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms also apply to your purchase. Charges show on your statement as PADDLE.NET* IOTWEAVER.
Refunds
If you bought by mistake, paid twice, or the extras don't work for you, you get a full refund when you ask within 14 days of the payment, renewals included. Ask through the link in your Paddle receipt (or at paddle.net), or write to us. A refund ends what that payment unlocked. Deleting your account cancels a Yearly plan right away, without an automatic refund, so ask first if you're within the 14 days. None of this limits the rights consumer law gives you.
No warranty
The software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. It's self-hosted open-source software, and availability depends on the operator's server. Keep your own records of anything important (you can export any trip as a spreadsheet).
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the operator and the wakeru contributors aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for losses caused by data entered incorrectly, downtime or data loss.
Suspension and termination
The operator may suspend accounts that break these terms or harm the service or other users. You can stop using wakeru and delete your account at any time (see Delete your account).
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brasil, without prejudice to consumer protections that apply where you live.
